Let His Enemies Beware: There is only one Superpower now...

So last night instead of doing my midterm paper and wallowing in my own self hatred I decided to read Superman Red Son instead. I haven't been this into a book since the last Harry Potter book was released. Mark Millar is a genius combining both a very big American icon and putting him in a situation asking "What would happen if Superman overshot the Kent farm and landed in Stalin's backyard?"

The Man of Steel still stands for the people and wants whats best for them, but would go as far as forcing his beliefs to create the "perfect world". Many familiar faces show up in Red Son including Batman, Wonder Woman, even the Green Lantern, though slightly different than how they are usually seen in other story arcs. I can't recommend Superman Red Son enough. Even going as far as writing this shitty piece that doesn't do the book justice. I'm a fan of dystopian novels and I can't recommend Superman Red Son enough. In the words of Tom Desanto "Good writing challenges the way you think, Great writing changes the way you think..." and Red Son is truly great writing.
